Meg Ashley is a painter and potter. She takes her inspiration from the North East coast and the North Yorkshire Moors where she can often be found, in all weathers, walking and taking photographs. 

Coming from a background of lecturing in Art and Design and Design Technology, she has a keen interest in most creative practices.

The ceramics on sale in the Staithes Craft Centre range from traditional thrown ware to whimsical animals and fun pieces. She specialises in hand-building and imprinting vases, dishes and other objects. 

There is also a small range of original paintings and limited edition prints.

This year she will be at The Festival of Thrift , York River Art Market and Whitby Art Fair.
